Hi
Installed Vista onto my laptop this morning thinking it wouldnt work so i just did it as a trial run but it worked. Dead chuffed with it, so i decided to have a sort out and format out my partitions and run it cleanly so it would be the main operating system. Thats when it would not let me boot from the dvd i burnt with the iso so i formatted my drives with the xp home cd and installed that. From then on i have not been able to install vista as i always get the error code 80070017, which i find puzzling because i had it working a good couple of hours before. Wondering if there was any explenation for this. Thanks
Graham

Try This: Burn the ISO Image in 1X or 2X of Speed / Change the DVD+ To DVD- / If don't works try to download a new Image, Goodlook

I used some trial and error and worked out that it was due to either 1, CPU over heating, or Memory over heating. Thanks for the help though
